In case you are wondering why this blog suddenly looks so different: I have moved it to WordPress after continuously running into problems with the previous system.
On another note: today or tomorrow, a long-overdue release of Mitsuba will be released. Stay tuned!
Whoohoo…! Looking good. Congrats WJ 😉
Cool, can’t wait!
(and btw what was your former blog platform??)
The former system was serendipity. It was pretty nice a few years ago, but development seems to have stopped.
Excelent!!!!!
Awesome! Looking forward to seeing the new release!
yay_!
Thanks for all bug fixes since last release!
That’s great news. Hope the recent Blender changes make it a great fit for your future work.
Keep going WJ.
WJ:
I have a question about volume integrators. When I specify a phase function in mitsuba system, should I represent it so that
it is integrated to value 1 or to 4 pi? I mean which convention of phase function does your system use?
Moon Jung
It has to integrate to one — you can look e.g. at isotropic.cpp, then the implementation will be clear.
